AUDITIONS & ADMISSIONS

Thank you for considering The VIVA School! Detailed below are all the steps in the admissions process.

 

Acceptance into The VIVA School is through audition only. All accepted students train on a full-merit scholarship from acceptance through high school graduation.

 

How to Audition

 

1. Submit Audition Form

 

The first step in the admissions process is to submit an online audition form.  

2. Complete Pre-Registration 

 

Upon receipt of the audition form, a member of our staff will email specific pre-registration instructions. Fully completed pre-registration is required for all prospective students.

3. In-Person Audition

 

Upon completion of the audition pre-registration, prospective students are invited to audition at The VIVA School. Spring auditions will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The VIVA School merges world-class dance training with leadership development to cultivate the creative leaders of tomorrow. All accepted students train on a full-merit scholarship, estimated at more than $100,000 from acceptance through graduation. Graduates have gained acceptance into some of the nation’s most prestigious conservatories and college dance programs, including Boston Conservatory, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts, SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, Towson University, University of the Arts and The Hartt School at the University of Hartford.    

 

Students at The VIVA School train year-round in contemporary, modern, ballet, pointe, hip hop and traditional and contemporary African diasporic dance forms and are immersed in a comprehensive and exciting leadership development curriculum that promotes interdisciplinary learning and thinking. Students at VIVA work alongside master teaching artists, receive specialized classes and individualized coaching, and create a lifelong community.
